請認真閱讀下面這篇文章,根據要求寫一篇短文。

In most schools, students in one class have the same schedule (時間表). But at Beijing National Day School, each of the 4,174 students can build their own class timetable.

The school has used this alternative (可供選擇的) education system since 2011. Students choose courses of different difficulty levels and categories (類別) based on their interests and abilities. They don’t have fixed classrooms or regular (固定的) classmates. Instead, they have more than 400 courses and 272 school clubs to choose from. The school hopes students can become masters of their own study and find their potential (潛能).

Students also like the system. Tian Yatong, 14, said she learns to be responsible (負責任的) for herself through the system.

She has chosen level 2 (the medium level) for math based on her current (當前的) abilities even though she has passed the level 3 tests.

“I like the teacher of level 2. I think it works best for me,” said Tian.

The system also “opens a new world” for students, said 13-year-old Li Zixuan.

Li was amazed to find that she could learn cooking, sewing , making films and many other interesting things at the school.

“You’re sure to find one that interests you,” Li said.

Li has chosen a cooking course this term. Now she can make different cakes at home for her parents.

“I may become a pastry (糕點) cook one day. Who knows?” Li said.

One possible vision:

This is a new way of learning. I like it. First, students can choose what to learn, when to learn and who to learn from by themselves. They can learn the subject they are interested in. Interest is important in learning. Second, students don't have fixed classroom or regular classmates. This give students a chance to meet someone that has the same interest. And they can make more friends. It's good for students' growing.

I think this new teaching system is vary good. Students can learn according their own interests and abilities. This can make students better and better. But I think some basic subjects should be learned by everybody, not just be chosen, such as Chinese, math and English.

If I have a chance to study in this school. I will choose cooking and sewing courses. Because I can't cook and sew now. And I need these skills. What's more, I like cooking very much. I hope I can cook for my parents.

If you want to do a school project on children’s rights, you can look on the Internet for some information. A United Nations website can show you plenty of useful information for the project.

The United Nations lists the rights of children. Most countries agree all of them, but some countries do not. The following are some of the most important rights of children:

Children have the right to be properly fed, clothed and sheltered by their family. If their family can’t do so, the government should take responsibility.

Children have the right to an education and medical care, which should be provided by the government.

Children must not be cruelly punished by their parents or any others.

Children have the right to expect the government to protect them from all kinds of abuse and neglect(虐待和忽略).

No child under fifteen should be made to fight in an army.

Children have the right to be protected from being made to work too hard to make money for other people.

In some countries children do not have these rights. Many young children are made to work long hours in factories and on farms. In some countries there are so few schools that only rich children get an education. There are not enough doctors or nurses to help many children when they are sick.

The rights of children are, therefore, the rights people think children should have. They are not always the rights children really have.

Started in 1636, Harvard University is the oldest of all the colleges and universities in the United States. Yale, Princeton, Columbia and Dartmouth were opened soon after Harvard.
