In fact,   the personal computers were invented in 1976. But I think the computer is one of the most useful inventions in the modern world.  People can do a lot of things on the computer. People can go online and search the Internet to get the information they need. People can send e-mails to each other instead of writing letters. Sending e-mails is much more convenient and faster than writing letters. People can also use computers to download music,  play games?  shop or do many other things. Nowadays computers are widely used in offices? banks, schools,  companies?  hospitals and many other places. Computers are also used in scientific research fields today. The computer is so useful that it is becoming one of the most important parts of people's life.
